Esports has grown into a global multi-billion-dollar industry, and Malaysia is far from a passive observer. We have professional players, active local leagues, dedicated esports arenas in several cities, and most importantly — a large and passionate fan community. If you follow Mobile Legends Bang Bang daily, know the players in AURA Esports by name, or can talk at length about the latest DOTA 2 meta patch — that knowledge is a genuine asset when betting on esports at RA888.
Mobile Legends Bang Bang remains the most popular e-sports title in the Malaysian community, and this is clearly reflected in betting activity on RA888. MPL Malaysia is the most frequently bet-on league among local players, followed by the M-Series World Championship when it comes around each year. What makes MLBB betting on RA888 particularly compelling is the depth of markets on offer – beyond just picking the winner, there are markets such as first map winner, total maps played, whether the match will go to game five, and various prop markets that reward players who truly understand the game.
For DOTA 2 fans, The International is the most anticipated event on the annual esports calendar. The tournament is renowned for its crowdfunded prize pool via the Battle Pass, making it one of the largest in any sport worldwide. RA888 provides full coverage of TI — from the group stage and Lower Bracket playoffs all the way to the Grand Final. DPC Regional Leagues markets are also available year-round for players who want to keep betting between major events.
CS2 and Valorant attract a different segment of players – those who prefer tactical PC-based FPS games. Both titles have distinct metas and strategies that set them apart from each other. CS2 places greater emphasis on round economy, positioning, and precise aim, while Valorant layers in agent abilities to create an additional dimension of strategy. For players who truly understand these games, specialised markets available at RA888 – such as pistol round winner, first to 10 rounds, and total rounds over/under – offer more precise and rewarding betting opportunities.
One major advantage of esports betting over conventional sports is the sheer depth and accessibility of data and performance records. In football, you may have to rely on media reports or your own observations — but in esports, match statistics, hero win rates, head-to-head records between teams, and recent performance trends are all readily available online. RA888 esports players who take the time to research using these statistical resources consistently make better betting decisions than those who wager purely on a team's reputation.
Live in-play betting on e-sports at RA888 is a completely different experience from pre-match wagering. While watching a match live – whether through RA888's built-in stream or via platforms like YouTube or Twitch – you can place in-play bets in real time as the momentum shifts. In an MLBB match, for example, if the team you're backing manages to breach the opponent's first base and now holds a dominant position, the in-play odds for their victory will adjust – but there may still be value if you act quickly. That's what makes e-sports in-play betting on RA888 so exciting and rewarding.
The esports parlay feature at RA888 is one of the most popular ways to maximise returns on a modest stake. You can combine selections from three or four different matches into a single parlay ticket – for example, pairing AURA Esports to win at MPL Malaysia, NAVI to win at CS2 IEM, and T1 to win at LoL Worlds. If all three land, your parlay can return 8–12 times your original stake. Many Malaysian players use a small parlay strategy of RM10–RM30 as a weekend "hot circuit" when multiple matches are running at the same time.
For players new to esports betting on RA888, the most important advice is to start with the title you play or watch the most. Don't try to bet across all titles at once. Focus on one or two games you genuinely understand, learn the types of markets available, and build your experience gradually. RA888 provides guides and tutorials for each market type in Bahasa Melayu — make full use of these resources before placing real money. Esports is entertainment, and with the right approach, it can be a more rewarding and enjoyable experience on the RA888 platform.
"I play MLBB every day, so when RA888 launched the MPL Malaysia markets, I signed up straight away. The markets are deeper than anywhere else — map winner, first blood, all of it. Odds are competitive for local matches too."
"Been playing DOTA 2 for 8 years, so when TI rolls around I'm fully locked in. RA888 has markets for every single match from group stage all the way to the grand final. The in-play is smooth too – never lagged on me during a big game."
"RA888's esports parlays are a great time. On weekends when there are plenty of matches, I put together a RM20 parlay combining 3–4 games. Two weeks ago I hit RM180 off an MLBB + CS2 parlay — definitely worth it."
"I love betting on Valorant because VCT Pacific features Asian teams I know inside out. RA888 has pistol round and round winner markets – it's built for people who actually understand the game, not just picking a winner at random."
